On Sunday, November 19th at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California, the IBJJF will host “The Crown,” one of the organization’s most prestigious jiu-jitsu events yet. Since the event was first announced back in July, the jiu-jitsu community has been gearing up for an event that will redefine the landscape of the sport with an unforgettable experience for the public and for the athletes where their performances and legacies will be cited for years to come.
The Crown was designed to showcase an array of remarkable talent, featuring World Champions and highly ranked contenders from around the globe, especially picked for their unique, amazing and exciting performances throughout the competition season.
The event will feature six divisions, four male and two female, brackets will consist of four athletes per division for 2023 and will move to eight athletes per division in 2024 and beyond. Jiu-Jitsu enthusiasts are about to witness a jiu-jitsu spectacle of epic proportions, and the stage is set for athletes to etch their names into the history books.
